Terry Haney

Director at Large (2025-2027)

337-764-1301
Mr. Terry Haney is serving as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Holly Lake Ranch Association for the 2025-27 term.

I've proudly called Holly Lake Ranch home since 2019. My wife, Hope, and I have been married for over 17 years, and we are the proud parents of two daughters—Shelbi Haney and Aubrey Clark. I'm known for being blunt, direct, and honest. I don't sugarcoat the truth because I believe adults deserve straightforward communication—especially when it comes to decisions that impact their lives and property. Our community needs to be able to trust the board & Believe that the board has their best interest in mind. Professional Background & Experience I bring over 30 years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems, facility maintenance, and team leadership, including: Aircraft Mechanic – Northrop Grumman (10+ years) I worked on advanced military aircraft systems, performing structural fabrication, diagnostics, and high-precision repairs. I spent 5 of those years in management roles, overseeing maintenance teams and ensuring strict safety and procedural compliance. Industrial Maintenance Technician (5+ years) Experience includes preventative and corrective maintenance on systems such as, plumbing, pumps, motors, welding, cranes, and carpentry—managing resources, ensuring reliability, and maintaining safety standards. Handyman & Contractor (20+ years) Skilled in real-world construction, remodeling, and residential repairs, always with a focus on quality and cost-effective solutions. These diverse roles have given me deep knowledge in structural integrity, mechanical systems, budget oversight, and team coordination—all of which are directly applicable to serving on the Board. Why This Experience Matters on the Board I've spent my career managing complex systems and leading teams while balancing safety, performance, and budget constraints. These same principles are vital to responsible community leadership. As a board member, I will use these skills to: Evaluate costs vs. community value,Identify inefficiencies and unnecessary spending Implement accountability and performance standards Ensure transparent and informed decision-making My Vision & Priorities:Financial Responsibility We can find real savings by evaluating staffing structures and reducing operational waste—without cutting amenities or services. Any savings should be reinvested into areas that benefit all residents. Protecting Property Rights I firmly believe the board's authority is limited to common areas, as outlined in our founding documents. Recent rules and regulations overreaching into private property are unjustified. Let's return to proper governance—transparent, legal, and without personal agendas. Holly Lake Ranch should serve all residents, not just those with money, influence, or control. Restoring Integrity & Oversight The General Manager should answer to the Board—not the other way around. Unfortunately, I've personally experienced a lack of honesty and transparency from GM Adam. I believe it is time to look for new leadership in our GM position. We need strong leadership that will: Reinstate checks and balances, Demand truthful communication, Ensure the GM operates under clear board direction Critical Community Issue: The Holiday Inn Property The upcoming deal involving Mr. Ho and the Holiday Inn property is one of the most significant issues facing our community. The outcome could have serious implications for our security, our dues, and our property values. This decision must involve resident input. No individual who does not live in Holly Lake Ranch should play a controlling role in shaping its future. My Commitment to the Community I'm not running for personal prestige or hidden motives. I'm running to ensure Holly Lake Ranch is: Responsibly managed, Financially transparent, Governed by the rule of law and integrity If elected, I will: Prioritize residents' interests, Uphold fiscal discipline Enforce clear board oversight of operations Restore honesty and transparency to community leadership In Closing I offer a unique combination of technical knowledge, leadership experience, and honest, practical problem-solving. If you're looking for a candidate who will stand by their word, communicate openly, and fight for the good of all residents, I would be honored to earn your support. I'm always available to talk with neighbors. You can reach me at (337) 764-1301 or stop by my home at 198 Birchwood Ln. Let's bring balance, accountability, and fairness back to Holly Lake Ranch.
