IN-FOCUS PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB
WINNSBORO, TX
The In-Focus Photography Club of Winnsboro, Texas is a non-profit organization that was established in March 2008 by Mr. Jim Dyson. The first four members met at “Mr. Jim’s Photography Studio” once a month to discuss our mutual interests in photography and to lay the groundwork to form the Club.
Since that time, we have grown to over 35 members and include photographers at all different levels – from amateurs to professionals; beginners to experienced. We share information with each other, giving hints on using your camera more efficiently, how to critique and enhance your photographs, and ways to sell your photos.

Place: Winnsboro Center for the Arts (WCA) @ 200 Market Street, Winnsboro
Time: 6:30 pm (members are encouraged to come earlier for fellowship)
Dues: $10/year

Monthly Project:
Every month a subject matter is chosen for the following month’s photo assignment. The photos can be either enhanced (i.e. Photoshop) or not enhanced. This is a fun way to see other’s talents and vote on the month’s “best”. The 1st, 2nd and Honorable Mention photos are placed on the In-Focus Photography Club’s wall at the WCA.

Workshops/Photo Ops:
We have held workshops on “Photoshop/Elements”, lighting, critiquing, studio lighting, and portrait photography, to name a few. We have also organized and participated in several group field trips. A short workshop is held monthly at Mr. Jim’s Studio (2264 CR 4450, Winnsboro) on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:00 am to 12 pm.
“The Wall”:
Members are encouraged to display and/or sell their photos on the Club’s “Wall” at the Winnsboro Center for the Arts. WCA is given 20% of the sell of each photograph. Come in and see our works.
