Board of directors meeting Aug. 9, 2013


Those present were:

Jim Armstrong Past President/ Steve Gowan President

Carl Worley Pro/ Stan Reeder Treasurer/ Don Klinker Secretary

Ron Jones V.President/ Tournament Chair

Stan presented the treasurer’s report showing deposits of $390 and expenses $381.16 for food & beverage, driving range flags, cart path paint and Library Tourney leaving a balance of $6,429.45.

Steve plans to have the lunch after the President’s Tourney at the fish camp. This saves money which can be put toward a nicer tee gift.

We approved paying for the shirts given to the volunteers for the Junior Championship.

Ron Jones will get with the guys at Hideaway to get firm dates to reschedule the Battle of the Lakes.

It was suggested that we try to make some improvement to the large bumps in the cart paths. Steve said he would get with Clayton to see if anything can be done.

We discussed buying 2 or 3 more TV’s for the 19th hole. More research will be done and we will make a decision next month.

It was suggested that the MGA have some Jack N Jill tourneys like the WGA.

We had a discussion on whether or not we can have four sets of tees. It was decided that we would all give it some more thought and we would vote on it next month.

Ron will check with Mario to see if we can get burgers for the Draft Tourney in Sept. If not, we will have to come up with another plan.
