THE KAY CALVERT MEMORIAL GAME DAY 2012
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2011 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM HOLLY TREE CHAPEL
Plans for the 2012 KAY CALVERT Memorial Game Day, an annual event which benefits
the Holly Community Library, have been announced by coordinators, Patti Trice and
Dixie Marsh. Friday, February 17 has been selected as the date and all game players
are urged to make plans to attend. Hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in
the Fellowship Hall of the Holly Tree Chapel. Game players from all venues – mahjong,
bridge, hand ‘n foot, 42 or any other game of preference – are invited to participate.
Tables of four or six, depending on the game of choice, should be assembled prior
to game day and names of players submitted by the deadline of February 10.
Game Day entry fee is $25 per person. Coffee and snacks will be available in the
morning and tea and coffee in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided and door prizes
will be awarded during the noon hour. Anyone wishing to donate a door prize can contact
Patti Trice @ 903 769-3285. In addition to the door prizes, players may also purchase
raffle tickets for an assortment of special prizes.
The Holly Community Library will be the beneficiary of the proceeds of Game Day.
The past three Game Days have been tremendous successes and all who attended indicated
their delight with the day and stated they were looking forward to the 2012 event.
