Creating an attractive and relaxing landscape is everyone's goal, but should we be more careful with the plants we select? Unfortunately, in the past most of the emphasis has been on whether or not the plant will grow, with little exploration of the potential impact these plants might have on our environment.
Similarly, in the past many have simply released pets, or brought animals in specifically to release them with little or no consideration of the impact this might have on our Texas wildlife.
In the program, Mark Klym with Texas Parks and Wildlife, will examine some of the common, though often unrecognized, invasive species and recommend methods of control or alternatives we can use.
Cost to attend is free; for more information or to register for this event call Irene Hamel at (903) 566-9394.
